Reel Big Fish History

Reel Big Fish is a ska punk band of America. It is famous for its album Sell Out which was released in the year 1997. The band got recognition in 1990's for their album Turn the Radio Off after which they lost its mainstream recognition and didn't get major record label. Reel big fish's debut album was Everything Sucks which was self-released. It was a huge success and it became underground hit. After the hit of this album the band signed the deal with Mojo Records. In August 1996, the much awaited album Turn the Radio Off was released which reinvented the ska punk style. Sell Out album became hit and it topped up the Billboard charts at number 57 which stayed there for 32 weeks. Soon in 1998 their album Why Do They Rock So Hard failed. In the same year, the band performed for the movie BASEketball.In the year 2001, Tavis Werts the trumpet player left the band. The band in 2002 fared well on the rock charts because of its single Where Have You Been. It was part of the album Cheer Up. The song Monkey Man and Where Have You Been? had Jones in its music video. Jones played live for Reel Big Fish until 2005 and then he was replaced by John Christianson. John Christianson is a trumpeter. On 5th April, 2005 Reel Big Fish released its fourth album We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not Happy which was known to be super catchy. Justin Ferreira the drummer left the band before the release of this album, Ryland Steen then replaced him.Reel Big Fish was dropped from Jive Records label in 2006 when they were touring; they then created their own label and then released the album Our Live Album Is Better than Your Live Album. The band released its album Duet All Night Long on 20 February, 2007. A Best of Us for the Rest of Us is its latest album. This album has 22 songs which include classic fan favorites and re-recorded hits.
