Born in Boston in 1972, Dane Cook grew up in the city of Arlington, Massachusetts. He went to high school there and worked in a video store as a young man. Much of his material comes from stories of his family and childhood antics. Dane Cook uses government and politics as subjects for his more socially conscious comedy.
