The country music quartet Cross Canadian Ragweed was created in 1994 in Yukon, Oklahoma, and shortly after forming the band moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma (home of Oklahoma State University), where they built up a fan base through college radio. The band started its own independent label, Underground Sound, and in 1998 they released their first album, Carney, followed by 1999’s Live and Loud at the Wormy Dog Saloon and 2001’s Highway 377, each album more successful than the last. In 2002, Cross Canadian Ragweed was picked up by Universal Records’ country music label, Universal South Records, and they released the self-titled Cross Canadian Ragweed, followed by Soul Gravy in 2004, Garage in 2005, 2007’s Mission California, and most recently 2009’s Happiness and All The Other Things….
