Philips arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Atlanta, Georgia with a capacity of 18,729 that is home to Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball association and the Atlanta Dream of the Women’s National Basketball Association. It opened in 1999 and served as home to the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers till 2011, before they moved to Winnipeg.
Georgia State Sports Arena serves as the home of the Panthers for both men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and athletic department. It provides a seating capacity of 3,854 fans for volleyball and basketball. As a multipurpose facility, the Sports Arena has hosted many athletic events and concerts. The venue was used to host all badminton competitions during the Summer Olympic Games. It hosted ESPN’s 14th and 19th Annual College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships in 2002 and 2007 respectively.
Atlantic Silverbacks Park is a 20 million dollar sports facility located near Spaghetti Junction in North East Atlanta. It features four full-size soccer fields- one of which sits a 5,000-seat stadium that is home to the Atlanta Silverbacks men’s professional soccer team and the Atlanta Silverbacks Women Semi-professional team. It houses a variety of soccer leagues that operate seven days a week.
